Always
do high quality work with an
attention to detail
I
have been a boatwright for many years. For some of those years I worked
as a wooden boat builder, one of
the most meticulous professions in the trades. Wooden boats demand
an eye for detail and the knowledge that an improper fit or sloppy
workmanship can lead to a leaky boat. I know that cutting corners
will never add value to a project, in fact it almost always costs the
client more money. For this reason and because of the pride I take
in my work I will always give you my best work.
If your project is outside of my expertise, I will refer
you to someone that can help you.
Make communication easy
The number on my business card is my direct
cell number. Unless I am out of
range or unavailable I will always answer my phone. If I
cannot answer I will return your call immediately - usually
within the hour.
Use Professional time
management
I
will never take
your time for granted. I know and appreciate
that if I waste your time you will take your business someplace else.
In the unlikely event that I am going to be late for an
appointment, I will always phone ahead and explain myself.
Stay
on
time and on budget
I make
every effort to stick to a schedule that is defined in a
written contract. If for some reason I cannot finish on time I will
give you as much notice as possible and finish as quickly as
possible. I will never ask for more money in the middle of a project
unless cost upgrades are outlined in the contract. The best way to
lose a client is to “nickel and dime”, something that will
will
never happen at Ocean Woodcraft.
Use
solid
communications and solid contracts
All
of my contracts
are in writing. Each contract will detail
cost, time and the scope of the project. I always double check to
make sure that I understand the details of each clients wishes and
make every effort to complete each project exactly as the client
intends.
Treat
customers property with respect
at all times
I
treat my clients boats as if they
were my own. I always do a professional clean-up at the end of every
day and keep things organized and tidy as I work.
Look
at every job with an eye to the
environment
I
always try to use products that
minimize the impact on Oahu and the Pacific and improve the health and
well being of
my clients. Living green is not just about trees and wildlife it is
also about the health and comfort of the boats on which we spend so
much time. |
